When asked ‘What would you do if you were attacked by a man?’, the most common answer women give is, “I’d kick him in the groin.”



There is no doubt that this type of strike would be painful to a man. However, the truth is, it’s actually  not always that easy to throw an accurate, debilitating groin strike. Moreover, such a strike increases the likelihood of further angering the assailant, and the last thing you want is to enrage an attacker before you have a clear escape plan.

Unlike self-defense classes that rely heavily on strength, the techniques in our program focus on the use of leverage and timing to defeat our opponent. The foundation of our curriculum is based on Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, which specifically focuses on practical self-defense techniques to help a smaller person defend themselves against a stronger, larger opponent. As a result, anyone, regardless of age or athletic ability, can learn the techniques efficiently and with accuracy.



In addition, our women’s self-defense class goes beyond just teaching the techniques. We cover combat awareness and attitude as well. Besides having practical value, learning self-defense will boost your self-confidence and empower you.
